Add more collateral
The easiest way to resolve a margin call is to add more collateral to your loan directly through your Celsius app to rebalance your LTV.

You can automatically close your loan through the Celsius app, or email loans@celsius.network to initiate a manual closure.
*Loans repaid prior to the lapse of 6 months will be charged interest for the first full 6 months.

From your mobile app:
Tap the Celsius menu icon.
Tap Borrow.
Your Loan Overview will display an orange margin call notice. Tap on the Respond to Margin Call button to continue.
Add the required amount of collateral in the same coin as your locked collateral.
If you have enough funds in your Celsius account, you can add additional collateral directly from your account.
If you do not have enough funds in your account to cover the margin call, you can transfer more crypto to your account or buy crypto directly through the Celsius app.
Once you’ve chosen how you want to add collateral, a confirmation pop-up will appear in your app.
Review your new collateral details, then tap Confirm to continue.
That's it! You will see a final confirmation that your margin call has been resolved. If you have more than one active loan with a margin call, you will see an option to continue resolving additional margin calls.
How To: Close a Loan
You can quickly and easily close a loan through the Celsius mobile app by completing your principal payment in stablecoins.
From your mobile app:
Tap the Celsius menu icon.
Tap Borrow.
Find the loan you want to close and tap Close the Loan.
Review the loan closure steps and tap Get started.
Tell us why you’d like to close your loan and tap Continue.
Pay any remaining interest. We accept multiple cryptocurrencies for interest payments. Depending on your location, this may include CEL, BTC, ETH, USDC, GUSD, TUSD, USDT, or DAI.
Complete your principal repayment in any of the supported stablecoins in your location.
Tap Confirm & Pay to close the loan and release your loan collateral.
